Brahms Festival: Third & Fourth Symphonies

Hear two Brahms symphonies in one program as the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra and Chief Conductor Jaime Martín continue their two-week festival. Symphony No.3 combines emotional honesty with the composer’s “free but happy” motto and the forest-like atmosphere admired by Clara Schumann; Symphony No.4 brings a contrasting energy and closes Brahms’ orchestral symphonic journey. Saturday 14 November 2026 at 7:30pm at Hamer Hall, Arts Centre Melbourne. The concert runs for approximately 1 hour and 50 minutes, including a 20-minute interval.
