Christian Li plays Brahms

MSO Young Artist in Association Christian Li returns as soloist in Brahms' Violin Concerto, conducted by former MSO Assistant Conductor Tianyi Lu. The Melbourne Symphony Orchestra's 19th-century program also includes Tchaikovsky's romantic Swan Lake Suite and Swedish composer Elfrida Andrée's rarely performed Andante Quasi Recitativo for Strings. The concert offers established classical audiences and newcomers a vivid showcase of a homegrown violin virtuoso, sweeping ballet music and an overlooked work for strings.
