Coogee Bay Hotel: Melbourne Cup by the Coast

On Tuesday 3 November, from 12pm, Coogee Bay Hotel brings beachside style to racing's biggest day, the Melbourne Cup. Expect ocean views, flowing bubbles and every stride of the 3pm race that stops the nation, live on Coogee's biggest outdoor screen. The whole venue is going trackside. Sweepstakes, Best Dressed prizes and plenty of race-day style are guaranteed, so dust off the fascinator, press the linen suit and bring your A-game to the lawn. Whether it's a long lunch with friends, a family celebration or a cheeky day off with mates, Coogee Bay Hotel is the place to be when the gates fly open. Race-day packages  - The Garden, $90 per person: a glass of Chandon on arrival, with shared seafood and picnic platters. Think Sydney rock oysters, Queensland prawns, kingfish sashimi and snapper ceviche, plus prosciutto and buffalo mozzarella, with macarons to finish. - Beach Bar & Dining, $195 per person: a flute of Moët & Chandon on arrival, three-hour beverage package and a multi-course menu featuring fresh seafood entree, Queensland prawn rolls, pan roasted barramundi, MB4 grass-fed rump cap and mango and coconut cheesecake. - Garden Cabanas, $250 per person (minimum eight guests): your own private patch of The Garden, with Moët & Chandon or Asahi on arrival, a three-hour beverage package, seafood and picnic platters and a dedicated waiter. - Sports Bar: walk-ins welcome, but get in early – it will fill up fast.
