Celebrate curiosity, creativity and Deaf culture at a vibrant free festival co-designed with Melbourne’s Deaf community. Across one big day, families can join Deaf-led tours of the EMERGENCE[Y] exhibition, hands-on STEM activities, Auslan Storytime, introductory Auslan sessions, a climate forum, community and emergency-services showcases, and a café experience featuring Deaf student baristas. The festival runs from 11am to 5pm on Saturday 19 September 2026 at Science Gallery Melbourne. Entry is free, though some sessions may require registration. The program is Auslan-rich and the venue provides accessible toilets, mobility access, quiet spaces and service-animal access. Check the booking page for the final timetable and any session reservations.
