Step into a colourful 1970s-inspired creative space where children become designers, makers and part of the exhibition! 🌈👗
Young visitors can experiment with bold fabrics, patterns and textures, try on vintage-style outfits and create original fashion pieces using drawing tools, fabric scraps and recycled materials. Every new creation helps the collaborative installation grow and change over time, celebrating self-expression, identity and community. ✂️✨
Children can:
👀 Explore the bold colours and shapes of 1970s fashion
👗 Try on playful vintage-inspired outfits
✏️ Draw and design their own fashion ideas
🧵 Create with fabric scraps and recycled materials
🖼️ Contribute work to an installation that evolves with every visitor
🌟 Discover that fashion can be art, storytelling and self-expression
The experience runs in Gallery Two from 4 November to 20 December 2026. Regular gallery hours are weekdays from 10:00am–5:00pm and weekends from 1:00pm–5:00pm. Because hours vary, no single daily time is displayed; check the official exhibition page before visiting.
Gallery entry is free. Families can drop in to explore the installation, but should check the official page for any workshop-specific booking requirements. Come ready to imagine, dress up and help the exhibition grow! 🎨💛
