Young designers can travel back to the bold and colourful 1970s in this hands-on fashion workshop! ✏️👗
Artist and facilitator Beina Lu helps children explore the decade’s eye-catching shapes, patterns and colours before designing their own outfits with templates and craft materials. Each completed design is presented as a framed artwork to take home—a brilliant mix of creativity, fashion history and self-expression. 🌈✨
Young creatives will:
👀 Discover the bold silhouettes and prints of 1970s fashion
✏️ Sketch and plan an original outfit
🎨 Experiment with pattern, colour and decorative details
✂️ Build their design using supplied templates and craft materials
🖼️ Take home a finished fashion artwork displayed in a frame
The session is designed to encourage imagination and confidence while introducing children to fashion as both design and cultural history. There is no experience required—just bring creative ideas and a love of colour!
Suitable for children aged 6–10, with a parent or carer required to remain during the workshop. The session runs from 10:00am to 12:00pm on Sunday 11 October 2026. Tickets are $7, all materials are included and advance booking is essential. Reserve a place before this groovy workshop fills! 🕺🎟️
