Matsuri Brisbane 2026 is a free, all-ages celebration of Japanese culture marking the 50th anniversary of the Basic Treaty of Friendship and Cooperation between Japan and Australia. The festival expects more than 30,000 visitors and presents a full day of Taiko drumming, Awa Odori, Yosakoi, Bon Odori, J-Pop, martial arts demonstrations and other cultural performances.
