Maxine Wade: Land For Sale

Maxine Wade: Land For Sale presents a selection of the artist’s recent Australian landscape watercolours. Wade explores the country through changing seasons and shifting palettes, moving from the cool blues and lilacs of winter to the brighter colours of summer. The exhibition brings together coastal scenes with luminous water, dense bushland, arid grasses and granite rocks. Different textural marks and carefully placed focal points give each landscape its own mood, inviting visitors to notice how colour, weather, vegetation and terrain shape a sense of place. The show will appeal to watercolour enthusiasts, landscape lovers, artists, students and gallery visitors. Land For Sale runs from Wednesday 2 September to Sunday 20 September 2026 at the Victorian Artists Society, 430 Albert Street, East Melbourne.
