Sticks, Stones, Broken Bones is an inventive family spectacle from Bunk Puppets, presented during the Melbourne Festival of Puppetry 2026. Household junk and everyday objects—including toys, brooms, boxes and scraps—are transformed live into surprising shadow worlds, dancing figures, dramatic showdowns and unexpected stories. The internationally toured production blends shadow puppetry, clowning and physical theatre, with every on-screen reveal created in full view of the audience.
Recommended for audiences aged 4 and over, performances run from 6:00pm to 6:50pm each evening from Tuesday 22 to Saturday 26 September 2026 at La Mama Courthouse, 349 Drummond Street, Carlton. Festival shows use staggered start times, with free snacks and juice for children and coffee for adults available between shows at La Mama HQ.
Tickets are currently advertised at $15–$25 and should be booked through the official La Mama page. Venue information lists accessible toilets and mobility access, and Companion Cards are accepted. Accessibility details are venue-supplied; contact La Mama at info@lamama.com.au or 03 9347 6948 about specific access or booking needs.
