Jams for Juniors introduces babies and toddlers to live music through a playful, participatory exploration of Tchaikovsky's Sleeping Beauty. Children and their adults can sit on cushions, listen, play and join in during this 30-minute workshop led by presenter Karen Kyriakou with the MSO Jams Ensemble. It is designed primarily for children aged 0-5 and their accompanying adults, with a welcoming attitude to noise and movement.
Saturday 19 September 2026 at Iwaki Auditorium. Sessions begin at 10:00am, 11:00am, 12:00pm and 1:00pm; each runs for 30 minutes with no interval. The 1:00pm session includes additional relaxed adaptations and Auslan interpretation and also welcomes older children who would benefit from reduced sensory stimulation.
General admission is $19, and every attendee—big or small—requires a ticket. An $8 transaction fee applies per order. Book through the official MSO ticket link. The venue is wheelchair, walker and scooter accessible and service animals are permitted. Accessibility features include a quiet space, relaxed sessions, chill-out areas, extra movement space and trained staff.
