The Wobbly Wallaby Show is a new 45-minute children's musical based on local Australian author Prema Nishan's book The Wobbly Wallaby & the Absolute Bandicoot. Giggle and Hoot performer Jemma Armstrong leads a warm, interactive adventure about friendship, empathy and kindness, sensitively celebrating neurodiversity through skilled puppetry, catchy original songs, lively dances and family participation.
Designed for children aged 3–8 and their families, the show is part of the Melbourne Festival of Puppetry 2026. Performances run from 10:00am to 10:45am on Tuesday 22, Wednesday 23 and Thursday 24 September at La Mama HQ, 205 Faraday Street, Carlton. Festival shows have staggered start times, and La Mama provides free snacks and juice for children and coffee for adults between performances.
Tickets are currently advertised at $15–$25 and should be booked through the official La Mama page. Venue information lists accessible toilets and mobility access, and Companion Cards are accepted.
