Japanese conductor Nodoka Okisawa leads the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra in a concise, contrasting program of French and Japanese music. Takashi Yoshimatsu's And Birds Are Still… balances the lightness of nature against the weight of human experience, while Poulenc's Sinfonietta brings bright, dance-like energy. Presenter Daniel Corvaia opens the event with an accessible 15–20 minute introduction before the complete works are performed. This Quick Fix at Half Six concert begins at 6:30pm on Monday 14 September 2026 at Hamer Hall, Arts Centre Melbourne, 100 St Kilda Road, Southbank.
